'Fontana Lake Firefly'
" This super-cool floating cabin on Fontana Lake NC offers all of the modern day conveniences in a unique off-grid setting. Accessible by boat only, the Fontana Firefly is located on the outskirts of Bryson City North Carolina. The cabin can comfortably accommodate two (2) guest but is capable of sleeping up to four (4) guests. Consisting of approximately 400 square feet of interior space, the cabin has one bedroom and one sleeping loft each outfitted with a queen bed.
The cabin has a full-size bath and kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. There is plenty of dock and deck space for spending time outside relaxing, fishing and sunbathing. Of course If you must stay connected to the outside world, Elon’s internet is also provided.
'See Forever Cabin'
"See Forever" provides 3 bedrooms and 3 en-suite baths and can accommodate up to 6 guests. This cabin has a spacious deck, hot tub, game room and fire-pit with firewood provided! Other amenities include free wifi (up to 10 Mbps), a well stocked kitchen, commercially laundered linens, toiletries and a gas fireplace for the colder months. A short 2.5 mile drive down the mountain gets you into the heart of Bryson City with all it has to offer!

Absolutely stunning cabin! The views in late fall were even better than expected. The drive into town was short and sweet but still gave you the feel of being high above the town. And being able to hear the steam engine's whistle through the town from way above was incredible!

We loved everything about staying at the Firefly Floating Cabin on Fontana Lake. This was our first experience staying in a boat-accessed, floating house. Everything about the experience was described perfectly in the listing. The accommodations and experience exceeded all expectations! The host was super responsive. Our stay was during the week in mid-August, so very calm and peaceful. I've spent a few weeks on a houseboat traveling before, so I anticipated certain aspects of staying on the Floating House. I was pleasantly surprised by the ample solar energy! We lucked out and never dropped below 100% charge! I also love the rocking of the wake from boats passing by, but that might not be for everyonew. The water is beautiful, the mountain views are breath taking, and the house is fresh, new, clean, and very well appointed. We kayaked to the Floating House, but again, that might not appeal to all guests. Great location though! When we wanted to explore downtown, it was a 15 minute paddle back to the truck, and a scenic drive along the creek to Bryson City's Main Street district. Lots to do in the area! As the first 'official' guests, I highly recommend this experience!
